Parade of Sail

The year 1990 saw a great build-up to a major maritime event called Sail. This was its second edition, and at the time one of the biggest maritime events in the world.

Emilio and Hans and I had a boat back then, an American Army (really, not Navy!) high powered, highly manoevrable little craft they used for building bridges in times of war or calamity. It had four metal studs on each "corner", to lift the boat out of the water with helicopters. That was the boat we had when Sail came into town. We took a week off and with that little ship, there was nowhere we didn't explore.
