Pastorale in MarchThe year 2009. A day in March. Nothing special, dreich rather than jubilant. Dull grass, bare branches and no leaves. No daffodils either. Yet what colours! First four pictures were made with a simple, nothing-special zoom lens, the 55-200, mounted on the basic Nikon D40. © 2009 Robert Matzken |

Snowdrops
The final picture was made with an unlikely combination: a Nippon Kogaku Nikkor-Q Auto 200mm 1:4 mounted on a simple Nikon D40 digital camera. Indeed, this lens is more than 45 years old yet functions on a modern digital camera! |
